Traditional Kettle Method

Nesti Dante soap is made using the traditional kettle saponification method, a process carried out with love and care in Florence since 1947. While most manufacturers buy soap flakes on Far Eastern markets, Nesti Dante makes its own soap from high-quality oils. The traditional kettle-boiling method takes four days of boiling and is far more expensive and time-consuming than the usual continuous saponification method. However, it offers unrivalled quality advantages, such as the use of whole vegetable oils and a careful selection of raw materials. These oils are often so pure and refined that they are also used in the food industry.

Production Process

Throughout the production process, the soap is continuously checked by expert soap masters, who oversee each stage: saponification, washing (yes, Nesti Dante washes its soap!), liquefaction, decanting and extraction from special vacuum containers.
