Figs

The fig is one of the world’s oldest fruits. Originally from Asia, the fresh fig has an onion-like shape and a deliciously purple colour. Juicy figs are used fresh in cakes, salads and other cooking, among other things. This striking fruit pleases both the aesthete’s eye and the taste buds.

Sweet Treat

Foodin’s mini figs are gently sun-dried, juicily sweet treats that are a good alternative even to traditional sweets! As an excellent sweetener, figs can be added to baked goods or nibbled just as they are. Chopped into pieces, figs also work wonderfully in porridges and mueslis, and of course in raw chocolate.

Smoothie Tip

If you want to purée figs and blend them into a smoothie, it’s best to soak the fruit for a few hours first so they become plump and soft.
