Product Description
Organic coconut chips are made from the white flesh of the coconut. Their larger size compared to coconut flakes and their crisp texture make the chips a delicious addition to bowls, baking and finishing dessert servings. Their mellow coconut flavour and light sweetness also make coconut chips a tasty snack just as they are.
Why Choose
100 % coconut: the coconut chips are made from the white flesh of the coconut. Crisp texture: the larger chips add a pleasant bite to dishes and baked goods. Larger than coconut flakes: coconut chips are particularly well suited for finishing and snacking. Mellow coconut flavour: the mild, lightly sweet coconut taste works for breakfast, baking and desserts alike. Organic and forest-grown: made from the flesh of organic, forest-grown coconuts.
Production and Origin
Coconut chips are made from the white flesh of the coconut, which is cut into larger chips and dried. The coconut we use comes from Asia, where coconut palms grow among other vegetation. Harvesting is carried out by local farmers and their workers, who either climb the coconut palms or use long harvesting tools. No monkeys are used in harvesting the coconuts used in our coconut products. The different parts of the coconut are used as thoroughly as possible, apart from the husk.
How to Use
Coconut chips are an easy way to add both flavour and crunch to familiar recipes! Sprinkle them over granola, porridge or a smoothie bowl, use them to finish cakes and other desserts, or add them to nut and berry mixes. Their larger size also makes coconut chips a good snack on their own. If you would rather have the coconut blend in more finely — into a dough, a frosting or on the surface of energy balls, for example — choose coconut flakes instead.
