A Classic Drink

Use and Lactic Acid

Molkosan also works well as a thirst quencher and as a diet drink – and it has indeed become hugely popular among those who value their digestion. Molkosan is rich in L+ lactic acid. Compared with other lactic acid foods valued for their healthiness, Molkosan’s L+ content is in a class of its own. Compared with natural yoghurt, for example, it is twice as high, nearly 2.4 times higher than quark and as much as 3.5 times higher than sauerkraut!

How It’s Made

Molkosan is made from fresh organic milk from happy cows grazing in the Alps. The rich vegetation of the wild meadows adds its own valuable contribution to the Alpine milk. In production, the protein, carbohydrates and fat are removed from the organic milk by filtration. The pure whey is pasteurised as gently as possible so that in the next stage, the fermentation process, only the dedicated lactic acid bacterium developed for this purpose (Lactobacillus casei) is involved. The result is clear Molkosan, rich in L+ lactic acid. The lactose-free, ready-to-drink beverage is calorie-free.
