Who it’s for
BlueSleep 1.9 mg, prolonged-release, is particularly suitable if: you fall asleep but wake up several times during the night, you fall asleep but your sleep ends before morning, you are over 50 years old.
Melatonin
Melatonin is what is known as the night hormone, secreted by the pineal gland as light levels decrease. It sets the body’s internal clock, regulating the circadian rhythm and promoting falling asleep. Secretion is at its highest at night during darkness. With age, the body’s melatonin secretion decreases, and the melatonin produced by the body may no longer be sufficient to ensure a good night’s sleep.
