Compared to regular shampoo

Many regular shampoos contain strong sulphate surfactants such as Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), which cleanse so effectively that they also strip away the scalp’s natural protective oil. This can leave the scalp dry and itchy, or lead to excess sebum production as the scalp tries to restore balance.

Sea buckthorn leaf extract

The sea buckthorn leaf extract in this shampoo is made by us through maceration of dried leaves from sea buckthorn bushes growing in the islands of Särkisalo. The bushes grow in our own garden entirely organically, without fertilisers or pesticides. We pick the sea buckthorn leaves by hand and use them in our cosmetic products.

Scent

The product is fragrance-free, meaning no fragrances have been added. Please note, however, that the product may have the natural scents of its raw materials, such as plant oils and extracts.

Production

Our shampoo bars and conditioner bars are made in small batches at our soap factory in Perniö.
