Hand-Harvested Bladderwrack

In our Bladderwrack products, we only use bladderwrack loosened by storms, which we hand-harvest ourselves from a small sea area of approx. 10 square metres in the Bothnian Sea (Pyhämaa – Vakka-Suomi, Uusikaupunki), where it grows naturally in abundance and where it washes loose after storms. The Bothnian Sea has the cleanest waters in Finland. We only collect part of the fresh, storm-loosened bladderwrack. Most of it remains in the sea and on the shores to support the natural cycle and the biodiversity of marine life. We never collect from the banks that pile up on the shore, as they play their own important role in the ecosystem.
