What is glucosamine?
Glucosamine is a natural substance found in joint cartilage. The glucosamine in these products is isolated from crustaceans (shrimp). Glucosamine supplements are often the best way to raise levels in the tissues, since food itself contains no direct sources of glucosamine. Chondroitin is likewise a natural substance found in joint tissue.
