Product description
Each capsule contains 290 mg (430 IU) of vitamin E as d-alpha-tocopherol. Manufactured in accordance with pharmaceutical quality requirements. The Bio prefix in the product name refers to the product’s bioavailability.
What is vitamin E?
Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin and an antioxidant. Free radicals are atoms that are missing an electron and are highly reactive. Free radicals are by-products of normal cell metabolism, and they are formed even through exposure to outdoor air pollution.
Cell components
The components susceptible to oxidative stress are vital parts of the cell that ensure the cell’s normal function. These parts include, for example, the nucleus, which contains the genetic material (DNA and RNA), the mitochondria, where energy is produced, and the ribosomes, which produce proteins according to the instructions contained in the DNA.
Good sources of vitamin E
Vitamin E is found in wheat germ, sunflower seeds, nuts, vegetables, liver and more. By consuming good sources of vitamin E, you can obtain the amount of vitamin E needed to benefit from it. In frozen foods, however, the vitamin E content declines.
As a supplement
With a food supplement such as Bio-E™, you can ensure the same daily dose (290 mg) of natural vitamin E as d-alpha-tocopherol, which has good bioavailability.
Please note
A food supplement should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet or a healthy lifestyle.
