There’s a lot of talk about quality, but what does quality mean in a NESTI DANTE soap? Using raw materials so fine and carefully selected that they are often used in the food industry. Traditional Method

Nesti Dante soap is made using the traditional kettle saponification method. We have been making it in Florence with love and care® since 1947. Most manufacturers buy soap chips from Far Eastern markets; we, on the other hand, make our own, starting from quality oils. The traditional kettle method, which takes more than four days of processing, ensures that only the finest part of the saponification is used, leaving out impurities and excess water: that’s why our soaps don’t melt on the sink or crack during use. The continuous method, by contrast, produces a base paste that is not free from impurities, as it uses the entire contents of the kettle.

Whole Oils

Nesti Dante uses only whole oils, so fine that they are often used in the food industry, rather than the fatty acid fraction. This produces a base paste with no underlying odours to mask, so the fragrance can express itself to the full and last to the very end. Nesti Dante soaps are triple milled using special stainless steel machinery. This lengthy process ensures a compact, smooth soap, finely finished in every detail and longer lasting.
