About the product
Natura Media’s Multi-C is a unique combination product: it contains Scottish Quali ® -C ascorbic acid, i.e. vitamin C, along with polyphenols extracted from European berries in the same capsule.
Quali-C from Scotland
Over 90 % of the world’s ascorbic acid is produced in Asia. The only ascorbic acid manufactured in the West is Quali ® -C by dsm firmenich, which is produced in Scotland. Natura Media’s Multi-C contains exactly this high-quality vitamin C, 200 mg in every capsule.
Berry extracts
Multi-C also contains standardised berry extracts with a very high polyphenol content, from black chokeberry and black elderberry. Natural rosehip extract completes the whole.
Production and suitability
Natura Media’s Multi-C capsules are made in our own production facility in Raisio, Finland. The product is vegan and contains none of the typical allergens such as gluten, cereals, milk, soy, nuts or egg.
What polyphenols are
Plants contain natural phytochemicals called polyphenols. With their help, plants protect themselves from things such as UV radiation, cold, diseases and pests. Thousands of different polyphenols are already known, and they are divided into subgroups, one of which is flavonoids. Flavonoids in turn include many different subgroups, such as catechins and anthocyanins.
Standardised berry extracts
Multi-C capsules contain black chokeberry and black elderberry extracts. These two berries are the most polyphenol-rich of the known edible species. The berry extracts in Multi-C capsules are also standardised to always contain the same amount of polyphenols, so their strength is not affected by variation between harvest seasons.
Origin of the berries
Natura Media’s Multi C capsules also contain natural rosehip extract. All the berries in the product are grown and processed into extracts in Poland, so EU cultivation standards are a further guarantee of high quality.
