Origin of tallow

Tallow has a skin-identical fatty acid profile. The tallow we use comes from domestic highland cattle farms. We only use fat from pastured animals. Animals live species-typical lives, raising their offspring. Tallow is animal fat that is obtained from around the internal organs as a byproduct of slaughter. This raw material is a waste product and would otherwise end up in the trash.
