Gentle foam

Yes just gently. Instead of SLS, the harsh synthetic foaming agent in most toothpastes, Gutology uses a naturally-derived surfactant. So you still get a light, pleasant lather without the irritation SLS can cause to gums and soft tissue. You’ll finish with that smooth, just-brushed feel: a clean you can feel, minus the heavy foam.

For families

Yes and it’s a popular choice for families. Because Gutology is fluoride-free, it avoids the swallowing concerns associated with fluoride toothpaste, and it’s suitable from ages 3+. For younger brushers, we also make a strawberry kids’ version same SLS-free formula, in a flavour they’ll actually look forward to.

We test for critical elements including lead, arsenic, mercury, and cadmium , all of which are consistently below detectable limits . We also screen for other trace elements such as nickel, chromium, cobalt, and zinc — and confirm that all results fall well within the EU and UK’s strict safety thresholds for daily exposure . These results are reviewed by our quality team to ensure the highest standards of purity and safety.

Vegan and cruelty-free

Yes, this has been requested by many nutritionists that we work with. We’ve achieved this by using a vegetable sourced glycerine in our formulation. It is also 100% cruelty-free.
