Herbal Colour Result
Cultivator’s herbal colours create a beautiful, nuanced result along with a wonderful shine. The range offers a versatile selection of colours.
Composition
The shades consist of nourishing, organically grown and Fair for Life certified plants such as henna, indigo and cassia. Each colour also contains aloe vera. Cultivator’s plant processing methods, which use state-of-the-art technology, protect the active properties of the ingredients, resulting in an extremely fine and high-quality herbal colour powder.
Easy to Use
Cultivator’s herbal colour is a natural and easy hair colouring option – all you need is water and 1/2–2 sachets of powder depending on the length of your hair. We recommend a strand test before colouring your whole head, to make sure you achieve the result you want.

A Unique Colour
A UNIQUE COLOUR: The image on the packaging is always indicative. The final colour is a combination of the herbal hair colour and your current hair colour. Herbal colour does not penetrate the hair; the result is created on the surface of the hair while caring for it. For this reason, the beautiful nuances of your own hair also show through in the coloured hair. The colour result is further affected by previous chemical treatments, the development time of the colouring, and the temperature used during colouring. After colouring, the colour continues to deepen for approximately the next 48 hours.
Colour Longevity
FROM SEMI-PERMANENT TO PERMANENT: The herbal colours in the Cultivator’s Herbal Haircolor range have good coverage and colour longevity. Herbal colour should be approached like a permanent colour, because depending somewhat on your hair type and the number of previous colourings, the result is very long-lasting.
Colour Development
THE COLOUR IS NEVER FINISHED IMMEDIATELY AFTER COLOURING: Herbal colour shows its final shade once it has developed in the hair for about 48 hours after colouring.
Lightening and Treatments
LIGHTENING AND TREATMENTS: Cultivator’s genuine herbal colours contain no chemical oxidants, so they do not lighten the hair. Chemical lightening after herbal colouring may lead to an undesirable result. If your hair has been coloured with synthetic hair dye, is permed, or has other synthetic treatments, wait 5–6 weeks before colouring with Cultivator’s herbal colour.
Grey Hair
GREY HAIR: Covering grey hair may require several colouring sessions, and the result may remain lighter for the first few times. Herbal colour does not damage or break the hair, so you can recolour quickly. However, allow the colour to develop for at least 12 hours before the second colouring. Herbal colour continues to develop and may become more intense and deeper during the first few days. If you wish, you can also speed up achieving the final colour by pre-pigmenting.
Pre-pigmentation
PRE-PIGMENTATION: With pre-pigmentation you can speed up colouring grey and light hair darker. STEP 1: First colour your hair with Cultivator’s Golden, Auburn Copper or Henna depending on your natural hair colour. Henna gives the strongest pre-pigmentation. Development time approximately 5–15 minutes, until the hair has picked up some tone. The more tone, the deeper the result. Rinse with water only. STEP 2: Colour with the desired shade as usual.
Greenish Tones
GREENISH HAIR: Sometimes after colouring the hair may show a greenish tone that comes naturally from the indigo plant. This effect normally disappears within the first few days as the colour settles. If your hair is chemically lightened, the greenish tone may be stronger.
