Butyrate

Butyrate is a short-chain fatty acid, a metabolic product of bacteria. ButiShield™ calcium butyrate is microencapsulated using a patented method, so it dissolves slowly in the digestive tract. Butyrate is released from it gradually and thus reaches its site of action in the colon.
