Enzyme from Pineapple

A natural, versatile enzyme from pineapple (Ananas comosus). Bromelain is a proteolytic enzyme derived from pineapple (Ananas comosus). It is a powerful plant-based protease enzyme, meaning an enzyme that breaks down proteins into amino acids.

Use in Cooking

Bromelain is a well-known tenderiser in cooking; it can also be used nicely as part of various meat marinades, for example, to tenderise meat and thereby make the end result naturally even more flavourful and more easily digestible.
