Product

A natural and tasty source of B vitamins. Rikas Brewer’s Yeast is made from Saccharomyces cerevisae yeast. The yeast is grown in a nutrient-rich molasses solution, giving it a mild flavour without the bitterness typical of traditional brewer’s yeasts.

Production

Gentle drying and inactivation of the yeast preserve its nutritional value as fully as possible. Inactivated yeast does not work as baking yeast and will not start fermentation. Also suitable for pets. Contains no sugar, gluten, colourings or ingredients of animal origin.

Taste and use

With their roasted, cheesy flavour, these yeast flakes also work as a seasoning and flavour enhancer in cooking. Rikas Brewer’s Yeast is also suitable as a natural source of B vitamins for pets.

Usage restrictions

Rikas Brewer’s Yeast does not contain Candida albicans, the most common cause of yeast problems. The yeast flakes are processed so that they will not start growing in the digestive tract. As a precaution, however, Rikas Brewer’s Yeast flakes are not recommended for use during acute yeast problems.
